android: YouTube Android app gets a new pairing feature

Since the YouTube TV app launch, Google has made several changes and modifications to the app aiming to offer a better YouTube experience on smart TVs. One of them was the ability to pair the smartphone with the YouTube TV app to allow users to seamlessly cast a YouTube video.
Expanding that feature, the search engine giant has rolled out a new feature that allows users to easily connect their Android and iOS device with the TV, allowing users to browse YouTube on their handset while watching content on the TV.
Google until now allowed users to pair their TVs via link code. With the addition of the new features, users will be able to link their TV with the phone via Google account.
How to use the new pairing feature
Make sure that your phone and TV are signed in to the same YouTube account. Then, open the YouTube app on TV and then open the YouTube app on the phone. Now, a new popup will appear, click on Connect button to pair the TV and phone.
Once connected, the phone will be synchronised with the TV. You can now directly interact with the video. This also makes it easier to check descriptions, reply to comments and more.
