After winning millions of hearts with their mesmerising chemistry in the Tanu Weds Manu films, National Award-winning actors Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan have joined forces yet again, but this time for a psychological thriller.
Helmed by Thalaivii director Vijay, the film’s production kicked off in Chennai on Saturday. Adding to the auspicious atmosphere, Kangana experienced an extra moment of joy as Rajinikanth graced their film set.

Taking to social media to share pictures with Thalaivar, Kangana wrote: “On our first day of the shoot God of Indian cinema Thalaivar himself thrilled us with a surprise visit on our set. What a lovely day!! Missing Maddy as he joins us soon.”
Sharing Kangana’s post on X (formerly Twitter), Madhavan wrote: “Wowowowowoeow what a BLESSINGSSSS.. gods grace 🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏Phenominal Beginning. Thank you sir @rajinikanth .. your wishes and blessing mean the world to us . ❤️❤️🙏🙏”

Earlier in the day, Kangana announced that their film officially went on floors on Saturday. “Today in Chennai we started filming our new film, a psychological thriller. Other details coming soon. For now, need all your support and blessings for this very unusual and exciting script 🙏”

While the untitled film’s music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, Nirav Shah serves as its Director of Photography (DOP). The Hindi-Tamil bilingual film is aiming for a pan-India release. The movie is jointly bankrolled by Trident Arts and Ahimsa Entertainment.
Apart from this, Kangana will be seen in the upcoming period drama Emergency, which also marks her first solo directorial film. Madhavan, meanwhile, will be next seen in Kalpesh Garg’s delayed film Amriki Pandit.
