Kapil Sharma took to social media on Saturday to send birthday wishes to wife Ginni Chatrath. He chose two special photographs for the birthday wish, picked from their vacation abroad.
Expressing gratitude towards Ginni for being part of his life, Kapil wrote in the caption, “Happy birthday @ginnichatrath thank you for everything #love #happiness #blessings.” Kapil’s post invited a plethora of blessings and wishes from his fans and friends.
While several friends commented on Kapil’s post, the highlight was that of his The Kapil Sharma Show co-star Archana Puran Singh. She commented on Kapil’s post, “Wish you the happiest Birthday Ginni.Such lovely photographs … so finally Kapil tereko le hi gaya “bahar”… itna bahar ki desh se hi bahar nikal pade tum dono!! (Finally Kapil took you ‘outside’. So much so that both of you went outside the country) Have fun celebrating. Love you both so much!”
Kapil replied to Archana’s comment with a “@archanapuransingh hahahaha, thank you mam”. Other friends from the industry to wish Ginni on Kapil’s post were Sayani Gupta, Paritosh R Tripathi, Parmeet Sethi and Guneet Monga.

Kapil and Ginni met when she was still in college and he had started teaching theatre. In a recent podcast called Feel It In Your Soul, Kapil said that Ginny’s father interviewed him when they started dating each other. “When I was in college, artistes weren’t valued. Even when I met Ginni’s father, it was his extreme love for Ginni that he even agreed to meet me and interview me, otherwise, a typical father wouldn’t have agreed to meet me at all.”
Kapil further said, “At that time I was earning good money from TV, but he didn’t believe it. He asked me if I’m able to earn Rs 5-10k in a day or not. I told him I do more than that. He was shocked and asked, ‘Itne paise milte hain (Do you get that much money)?”
Eventually, the two of them got married in 2018 in Jalandhar. Together, they have a daughter Anayra, 4 and two-year-old son Trishaan.
