Purported screenshots of an Instagram Story allegedly posted by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s son Pax have resurfaced online. In the Story, which was reportedly posted online in 2020 after Pitt won an Oscar for his performance in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Pax described his father as a ‘world class a**hole’ who makes his four youngest children ‘tremble in fear’.
“You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell,” Pax wrote, adding that ‘the truth will come to light some day’. Jolie and Pitt separated in 2016 after two years of marriage, but over a decade together after meeting on the sets of 2005’s Mr and Mrs Smith. They were subsequently involved in an acrimonious divorce that continues to play out partially before the public.

According to the Daily Mail, Pax shared his Instagram Story with a picture of his father holding an Oscar. He wrote, “So Happy Father’s Day, you f*****g awful human being. You time and time and again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person. You have no consideration or empathy toward your four youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence. You will never understand the damage you have done to my family because you’re incapable of doing so.”
The Daily Mail quoted a source as saying that the message was posted on a private account that Pax uses to interact with friends. “It’s the account he uses for friends – friends from school mostly. He never says much about his parents, keeps himself to himself, so that was unusual,” the source claimed.
Jolie and Pitt have six children – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. They split following an alleged altercation aboard a private jet, during which Pitt supposedly struck Maddox. In a 2021 interview with Vogue, Jolie spoke about her decision to separate. “It was the right decision. I continue to focus on their healing. Some have taken advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media, but I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds,” she said. To the Guardian, she admitted that she feared for the safety of her ‘whole family’ during her marriage. Pitt, in a GQ interview, addressed his alcoholism, and said that he had since gone sober.
