For fans, reel and real life blurred on Sunday when visuals of Deepika Padukone meeting AbRam, Shah Rukh Khan’s youngest son, emerged on social media. Admirers of Deepika were quick to join the dots and draw a parallel between her kissing AbRam, to a scene from her last release Jawan.

Deepika attended the India vs Australia World Cup final at Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday with her actor husband Ranveer Singh, sister Anisha and father Prakash Padukone. Also present in the stands was superstar Shah Rukh Khan with his entrepreneur wife Gauri, son Aaryan, daughter Suhana and youngest son AbRam.

An adorable video which has surfaced on social media shows an excited Deepika greeting AbRam. The actor flashes her bright smile as she gently holds him by his face and lands a kiss on both his cheeks.

The fan edit of the video is set to the tune of Jawan’s hummable “Aararaari Raaro” and intercuts with visuals of Deepika from the Atlee directorial, which shows her kissing her on-screen son from the Shah Rukh Khan blockbuster.

An X (formerly Twitter) user posted screenshots of the reel and real life scene and called it a “wholesome moment”, writing, “AbRam is definitely deepika’s favourite baby, she loves him sm 🥹”

Jawan marked Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s second release of the year after their blockbuster Pathaan. Shah Rukh, meanwhile, is gearing up for the release of his next, Dunki.

The Rajkumar Hirani directed comedy drama will have a worldwide release on December 21, a day before Prabhas’ much-anticipated actioner Salaar also opens globally.
