Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his third release of the year after Pathaan and Jawan. After dropping a new song “Lutt Putt Gaya” from his upcoming film Dunki, SRK hosted an #AskSRK session on X (formerly Twitter) and chatted with his fans. SRK’s #AskSRK sessions  are known for his sense of humour and this time too, he had the funniest responses for his fans who asked him some hilarous questions.

When one of his fans asked if there was an illegal way to watch Dunki in theatres, SRK recalled the time he would convince the projectionist to allow him to watch the films for free, and suggested that his fan try the same. “I used to patao the projectionist when I was young and wanted to watch films. Try it…it may work perhaps. But don’t tell anyone I told u this. It’s our secret. #Dunki,” he wrote.

Another fan suggested that instead of showing Dunki in theatres, he should show the film in stadiums. Shah Rukh said that since there is no air conditioning in stadiums, it might get uncomfortable for viewers. “Yes, I also told the team but the air conditioning is an issue. You have to go with kids and elders for the film…will be uncomfortable…so let’s keep this one in the theatres in the 21st December only. #Dunki,” he wrote.

One of his fans asked if he approached director Rajkumar Hirani approached him, or he was the one who asked the director to make a film with him. To this, Shah Rukh Khan said that he pitched a tent outside Hirani’s home and has been living there since the narration. He wrote, “Maine @RajkumarHirani ke ghar ke aage tent laga liya tha. Wahin kahaani bhi suni aur wahin sign bhi kar li. Editing bhi wahin chal rahi hai!!! #Dunki (I pitched a tent outside Rajkumar Hirani’s home. Heard the narration there and signed it there too. Even the editing is going on there).”

Shah Rukh also explained to his fans what Dunki meant and wrote, “Dunki is a way of describing an illegal journey across borders. It is pronounced डंकी. It’s pronounced like Funky…Hunky….or yeah Monkey!!!”

Festive offer

Dunki, also starring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal, is set to release on December 21.
