The film debuted impressively, raking in Rs 44.5 crore on its opening day. While maintaining momentum initially, it witnessed a 50 percent dip on the fourth day, collecting Rs 21.1 crore. The following days, Thursday and Friday, it saw a further dip, earning Rs 18.5 crore and Rs 13.25 crore respectively. However, the film regained traction on its first Saturday.

Shubhra Gupta from Indian Express awarded the film 2.5 stars, noting, “But after that super-starry flourish where you can’t help but crack up at the bro-vibes the two trade, the story-telling settles into distinctly un-rousing patterns in the second-half, only intermittently sparking to life. Remember that thing about weighty questions? Why (spoiler alert) does this film leave Salman with his shirt on? That’s one thing guaranteed to bring the house down. Yes, even now, after all these years. Don’t tell me the plot couldn’t find one appropriate climatic moment for such a momentous, an anticipated Bhai moment. Or are they saving it up for the fourth Tiger outing?”

Tiger 3 is the third installment in the Tiger franchise following Ek Tha Tiger (2012) by Kabir Khan and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) by Ali Abbas Zaffar. It marks the fifth entry in the broader YRF Spy Universe which also includes Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan’s War.
