As Australia broke the hearts of over a billion Indians after defeating India in the World Cup final in Ahmedabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a message for the Men in Blue.

Congratulating Australia for the win, PM Modi added: “Congratulations to Australia on a magnificent World Cup victory! Theirs was a commendable performance through the tournament, culminating in a splendid triumph. Compliments to Travis Head for his remarkable game today.”
India’s wait for an ICC trophy continued as they fell to Australia by 6 wickets at the Narendra Modi stadium with opener Travis Head scoring a blistering century to guide the Aussies to their 6th title.
